Ivan Krolo was born in Split in 1990, where he completed his primary, secondary, and higher education. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in 2013 and Master’s degree in 2015 in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Split. In 2021, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Full-wave time-harmonic electromagnetic model of thin-wire conductor in a multilayer conductive medium” under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Slavko Vujević. He is currently a researcher and assistant professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture in Split.
His primary research interests are related to the development of numerical models of grounding systems installed in various types of soil that dissipate alternating current and transient currents caused by atmospheric or switching overvoltages. In addition, he is involved in addressing issues related to electrical safety in low-voltage systems as well as high-voltage facilities.
His hobbies include mountaineering, running, sport and sport activities.
