CoGEN

Project duration:
About
he project is based on the ORC cogeneration module from Banko d.o.o., nominal power 500 kWel, electric power 100 kWel with output frequency of 600 Hz, where we are developed a dynamic control system based on a numerical model of plant and controllable high frequency energy converter
The project goal was to resolve technical issues regards to high electric power frequencies, safety control mechanisms and optimal operating plant in order to boost electric efficiency and economic value of cogeneration / trigeneration plants
Goals
- Increasing impact of science on industry development in Croatia
- Increasing cooperation level between science institutions and industry
- Raising technical knowledge and skills of young scientists for research and development
- Contributing to energy efficient society and preservation of nature
Project overall goal is to improve capacities for technology transfer and commercialization of universities and public scientific institutions.
The project will directly improve research R&D capabilities and capacities of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering and Naval architecture in industry propulsive and research important sector of energy efficiency in the segment of cogeneration / trigeneration plants and it will also make an impact on cogeneration technology where efficiency boost from 10 to 15% is expected a final outcome
Also, there is a direct impact on competitiveness of SME entities in Croatia, where with this Project permanent research and development platform is constructed that shall be used for administration of future product development activities and projects.
