The article presents an originally developed mathematical model intended for the stochastic calculation of the effectiveness of the lightning protection of the plant. The Monte Carlo simulation method with the associated pseudorandom number generator was applied. Based on the developed mathematical model, a program called GROZA was created for a digital computer, which was used in the calculation of the effectiveness of lightning protection TS 110/35/10 kV Komolac.
