The article presents the results of the analysis of the current state in submarine cables through which single-pole short-circuit currents flow. At the same time, special attention is paid to researching the distribution of current in the passive part of the considered cables, depending on their parameters. The research is based on an originally developed mathematical model, which, among other things, provides insight into the grounding characteristics of submarine cables.
