Abstract
In this paper, EMTP-RV model of hydraulic digital governor is used in order to investigate a possibility to improve synchronous generator power stability. Optimization of hydraulic digital governor parameters such are gate time constant (Tg) and PID controller proportional gain (kp) gives us possibility to improve synchronous generator power stability in a case of small as well as large disturbances in a power system.
