The student should describe the structure, use and properties of optical cables and measure the parameters necessary to verify their correctness. Using the Fluke DSP-2000 system with FOM and FTK accessories, the student should measure the relevant parameters (loss, power…) and conclude whether the cable meets the requirements for its category.
