The student should describe the thermodynamic principles of heat transfer and state and describe the basic laws of thermal radiation. Furthermore, thermography should be described as a method of non-contact temperature measurement, with special emphasis on the difference between qualitative and quantitative thermography in the maintenance of power plants, as well as the components and operating principle of a thermal imaging camera. Finally, the acquired knowledge should be applied in the thermal imaging inspection of a solar power plant, processing of thermograms and recommendations for its maintenance.
