Calculation and Analysis of Steady State Characteristics of Isolated Induction Generator

Abstract

The calculation procedure for steady state characteristics of the capacitor excited induction generator has been described for the case when in load impedance in addition to the resistive part there exists also the inductive one. The results of the calculations have been compared with those of the measurements, for both loaded and no-loaded conditions, and good agreement has been obtained between them. Using the developed computer programme the control law of the thyristor controlled reactor current has been determined when reactor is connected to the buses in order to control the voltage. The influence of the capacity and rotor speed on the generator output has been analysed.
