Overspeed Limiting of Reversible Aggregate

Abstract

Procedures of fast electric braking of aggregate overspeed after the outage by a direct switching of the rheostat into the armature winding circuit and by a switching of the rheostat via a controlled thyristor voltage converter have been studied. Dynamic electromegnetic and mechanical processes are simulated. The rheostat optimal switching in moment and resistance value to limit current shock, and the best characteristics of braking electromagnetic torque have been determined.
