Model of Transient Heat Conduction in Sphere

Abstract

Model of Transient Heat Conduction in Sphere On the base of two port network theory equations for transient response of spherically symmetric space is obtained. Propagation time of thermal flux is calculated and it is shown that transient stage of spherical probe, with some restrictions, can be used for thermal characteristics measurement in limited samples of soils. Thermal capacity and contact thermal resistance between probe and surroundings are taken into calculation. Algorithm for interpretation of response is presented.
