The paper presents a computational simulation of the state of failure in the water field 110 kV Ston in TS 110/35/10 kV Komolac. On that occasion, there was a thunderstorm, and the associated DV 110 kV Komolac – Ston was switched on only on the TS 110/35 kV Ston side. The so-called distant lightning strikes were simulated.. The reasons for equipment damage in the mentioned water field are explained.
