The paper presents an analysis of the causes of damage to electronic equipment in KZS 110 kV kV Postira. The aforementioned damages regularly occurred during thunderstorms. The parts of the respective equipment that are most closely related to its power supply circuits suffered. As the most likely cause of the mentioned damages, the occurrence of a single-pole short circuit on the DV 110 kV Postira – Nerezisca was presented.
