Abstract
The system for monitoring electrical quantities of a synchronous generator installed on generator 1 in the Peruca HPP is presented. Procedures for on-line identification of generator and backup network parameters are defined, which are based on recording monitored quantities in that system. The accuracy of the backup network parameter estimation was verified by measurements on a laboratory model, and the results obtained in the actual operation of the Peruca HPP are also presented. The accuracy of the generator parameter estimation was verified theoretically using appropriate simulation results.
