Measurement of Extremely Low Frequency Electric and Magnetic Fields

Abstract

Techniques for measuring extremely low frequency electric and magnetic fields are presented in this article. The simple overview of the basic theories used for implementing measurement is outlined independently for magnetic and for electric fields. In addition, the main principles in practical measurements are described, taking into account the factors that can lead to measurement errors. Short description of the current state in the measurement technology is given, followed by the insight in future developments and the possibilities of improvements.
