Influence of short circuit location to generators transient stability in hydroelectric plants Zakucac and Orlovac

Abstract

Analysis of the stability of the EES in the transitional period is one of the most important analyzes and is done in every EES. In this analysis, rapid changes are observed, mainly as a result of short circuits in the network, which cause oscillations of the generator rotor. An individual power plant affects the aforementioned stability through the electrical and mechanical constants of generators and drive machines, as well as generator excitation regulators and turbine regulators. This together with the existing electrical connections between the generators (transformers, lines…) and a certain type of disturbance determines whether the stability of the system will be preserved. In this paper, the impact of the short-circuit location on the behavior of the revitalized HP Zakucac generators and HP Orlovac generators in the transient transition is analyzed.
