Modelling Tesla’s Radio System as a Transmission Line

Abstract

In this paper, we present a transmission line model of the Tesla’ s radio system concept. It is shown that the radio equipment as well as propagation of current through the earth is essentially a transmission line based concept. The basic parameters of a Tesla coil such as the magnification ratio, node position, etc are derived.
