In their work, piano teachers use piano primers, the content of which they present to students. Piano beginners books are bridges between sheet music, the teacher’s spoken words and sound reproduction, i.e. future playing. The empirical part of the work is research conducted in the largest music schools of Osijek-Baranja County, Vukovar-Srijem County and Pozega-Slavonia County in the Republic of Croatia. Teachers were asked about the use of primers, their applicability and relevance in the modern age.
