The paper deals with the electromagnetic dosimetry model for the lossy homogeneous biological body. The model is based on the use of electric field integral equation (EFIE) in the frequency domain derived using the surface equivalence theorem and the boundary conditions for the electric field. The scattered electric field is expressed in terms of the equivalent electric and magnetic current densities which are expanded using Rao–Wilton–Glisson (RWG) basis function, and a point wise orthogonal nˆ×RWG basis function, respectively. Some illustrative results for the obtained equivalent surface current densities are given. The electromagnetic model can be useful in high frequency dosimetry of the human brain and also in modeling of medical technique such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
