Abstract
The content of these Instructions for laboratory exercises in electrical plants is harmonized with the teaching material from the course Elements of electrical plants at the undergraduate study Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the course Electrical Plants at the professional study Electrical Engineering. The main goal of the Instructions is to make it easier for students to understand and acquire basic knowledge from the aforementioned specialist courses, to provide support in preparation and experimental work in the laboratory, and to help in the analysis of measurement results. The choice of laboratory exercises is a compromise between what can technically be safely performed with a group of students in the laboratory, the equipment located in the Electrical Plant Laboratory, and the current curriculum. The topic of the exercises is primarily aimed at the study and calculation of various non-symmetric situations, especially in the case of short circuits, in electrical networks and dimensioning of elements of electrical installations.
