Software package for VOLTAGE ANALYSIS OF PHASE DISCONNECTION OF DOUBLE CIRCUIT OVERHEAD LINE

Abstract

When one of the two triplets of a dual-system transmission line is disconnected while the other remains in operation, electromagnetic and capacitive coupling will induce voltages on the disconnected triplet, which in some cases may be large enough to endanger the lives of people in the vicinity. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a detailed analysis of the voltage and current conditions in all phases (a1, b1, c1, a2, b2, c2), including the protective wire of the line under consideration for all poles in all characteristic operating states. Using the DVDV software package, it is possible to determine the entire voltage and current picture of the dual-system power line on which the intervention is being performed, which simultaneously eliminates the possibility of endangering the lives of people in the immediate vicinity of the line and increases the availability of the power system, because the other triplet remains in operation without any hindrance.
