Establishment of Transmission system operator in Croatia - possible solutions and alignment with Directive 2003/54/EC

Abstract

The restructuring of HEP, as well as the entire reform of the energy sector, takes place under the permanent imperative of harmonizing with the relevant EU regulations. Directive 2003/54/EC, which entered into force in the middle of 2003 and replaced the previous Directive 96/92/EC, is of key importance. and the long-term interests of Croatia in the field of electric power, the author’s view of the above issue is given. Possible options with their pros and cons are also suggested, including concrete suggestions.
