Numerical methods for analysis of earthing grids of highvoltage electrical plants and numerical methods for interpretation of geoelectrical sounding data

Abstract

The scientific monograph brings together the works of the authors of the monograph. The basis is three scientific studies prepared for the needs of the Croatian Electric Power Company in the period from 1987 to 1993, which had the common goal of eliminating theoretical limitations that arise in the practice of designing earthing switches using computers. The first scientific study is entitled: Further development of methods for calculating switchgear earthing switches in inhomogeneous soil. The second scientific study is entitled: Automatic interpretation of data measured by geoelectrical sounding. The third study is entitled: Generalized model for numerical calculation of mesh earthing switches in multilayer soil. The appendix to the monograph contains 6 scientific readings by the authors of the monograph, namely: 4 scientific papers published in journals listed in the Regulations from NN 2/97, 1 scientific paper published in the CC journal and 1 scientific paper published in the proceedings of a scientific conference with international peer review.

An expert in electrical engineering, particularly known for his contributions to numerical modeling of electromagnetic phenomena, lightning protection, and grounding. Throughout his career, he was a key member of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Naval Architecture in Split, where he taught, mentored students, and actively participated in scientific research and international professional organizations.
