The paper deals in detail with the problem of calculating and selecting the settings of the electrical (relay) protection system of 0.4 kV self-consumption in the Zakucac HPP, under the conditions of different possible operating modes. This is a relatively complex multi-level system, consisting of a large number of asynchronous motors of different powers, which can be powered from a 35/0.4 kV domestic transformer, from domestic generators (KG1, KG2) as well as from the tap of each of the four main generators. The paper shows that an electrical protection system has been created that will be selective during different operating modes and will also be sufficiently sensitive with respect to the expected short-circuit currents.
