Electrical protection functions settings calculation for generator C and step-up transformer =TC in HPP Zakucac

Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of calculating and selecting the parameters for setting the protection functions of the electrical protection system generator C - block transformer =TC in the Zakucac HPP. The backbone of the relay protection system of the generator and block transformer consists of two numerical relay devices type REG670 (ABB), together with two additional numerical relay devices type 7UT613 (Siemens), which serve to protect the transformer on the generator branch. The following protection functions, among others, have been analyzed in detail: differential protection of the generator and the block generator - transformer: ground fault protection of the stator and rotor: underimpedance protection: overcurrent and overcurrent-undervoltage protection: protection of the stationary aggregate: protection when connecting turns of the same stator phase: protection against stator overload, excessive magnetic induction, asymmetrical load and reverse power: protection against loss of excitation and loss of synchronism: overvoltage and undervoltage protection: frequency protection.
