Abstract
As part of this study, a software package was developed and an appropriate procedure for evaluating the energy potential of hydropower projects was defined, which determines the basic energy-technical characteristics of an individual project. An appropriate budget and calculation model was elaborated in order to analyze the potential of hydropower projects. The purpose is to develop a method for calculating the installed power and possible electricity production of hydroelectric power plants at a particular location, which can thus serve as a support in investment decision-making for hydroelectric power plant construction projects, regardless of whether it was a preliminary analysis of the potential of a potential location or a check of an already designed project solution .
